SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER has blasted newspaper reports he underwent cosmetic surgery - but jokes it wouldn’t be a bad idea. THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA creator, 58, recently underwent surgery to repair a damaged tear duct in his eye but the operation was misconstrued by the media. He explains, “I know some people have suggested it was a cosmetic operation, but trust me it wasn’t. “In retrospect maybe I should have had more done while I was under the knife! But, as you can see, I didn’t.”
